The Leeds SCITT course has changed my life for the better, I can’t wait to embark on my new career as a Teacher
— Andrea, Computer Science with IT Trainee
The Lead Tutor for Computer Science is a ‘Master Teacher of Computer Science’, one of only a few in the country. This means you are training with a colleague who is at the forefront of developments in this subject. He is also the Faculty Leader and has whole school responsibility for the school’s ‘Growth Mindset’ learning ethos.
The Lead Tutor has been involved with Leeds SCITT for over 10 years, during which time there have been excellent trainee outcomes and an outstanding employability record.
Titus Salt School has a history of outstanding Maths and Computing departments and currently holds the status of being a CAS Lead School. During your time with us, you will have a team of experienced, specialist teachers to help you develop your teaching knowledge and resilience.
As part of its IT provision, Titus Salt School has 30 laptops in each classroom throughout the school. This provides great opportunities for using IT across the curriculum and makes the subject central to learning at Titus Salt School.
In addition to your Lead School placement, you can be placed within two of our additional partnership schools to give you contrasting placements.
